2010 Exhibitor Testimonials

''Sign & Digital is the best opportunity people have for getting a snap shot of the industry" - here are some of the things that have been said about Sign & Digital UK 10:

Maja Ostadalova, Grapo Technologies:

“Sign & Digital UK was a chance for us to introduce our machines to the UK market for the first time officially. I must say the show has been really wonderful for us. The visitors here were the range of people we wanted to talk to; from small businesses all the way up to really professional larger companies.”

Eric Hensen, Polychromal:

“The visitors we have met are mainly the decision makers, the owners of the companies who are interested in the machines and in the other aluminium products that we sell.

The show for us is always very important, it is a very effective way for us to meet current customers and gives us the possibility to meet new prospects. It is a great way to meet people face to face and is always better than by mail or by phone and it is cheaper than travelling round UK all the time.”

Brett Newman, Roland DG:

“The show for us has been fantastic, as it let’s people come here and see what we are about, get the full Roland experience. Of course we come here to sell kit, and we have done lots of business on the stand, so we are very pleased with the results we have got.

“The quality of the visitors has probably been better this year than ever before, the people coming through the door are serious people and that’s the people we want to talk to, to sell kit to.

“We’ve been here for the last 15 years and without any shadow of a doubt we will be here next year as well.”

Chanel Bradley, GESS:

“The show has been really productive, a lot of leads have come through, as well as some quite in depth conversations with regard to the large format side that we do for the high graphics.

Face to face meetings help put a face to a name, a lot of our customers we just tend to deal with on the telephone so it is nice to actually meet the people in person, so that they can see who we are and what we do. This makes it a bit more familiar than just a voice at the end of the line and it gets us out there, exhibitions like this introduces our services to people that didn’t know necessarily were there.

“We have done a lot of business on the stand, we have gone through about 1500 flyers today, and we’ve still got another day to go so I would expect us to get through a similar amount tomorrow.

“Compared to last years event we have a bigger stand and we have found that the bigger stand has attracted more attention, especially the demonstrations and obviously the abseiling has attracted a lot of attention. We will be rebooking for the show next year.”

Nick Decock, Mutoh Europe:

“The quality of the visitors has been good, you can really see that visitors are not just coming to visit the show but they are looking for a solution to soft signage, looking for a UV or rigid printer, and that is what we are here for, along with our UK partners.

“It is actually the first time in a while we have exhibited here and I think the benefit of exhibiting at a show like Sign UK is that it is a good opportunity for Mutoh, as a manufacturer, to show the UK partners who day-to-day do business for us who we actually are. and introduce the UK public to Mutoh and our partners as one.”

Duncan Jefferies, Hybrid Services / Mimaki:

“The show has been excellent, we’ve had a really busy day today, I think Sign & Digital is the best opportunity people have for getting a snap shot of the industry. We’ve really benefited from an excellent number people of coming through the door today with a lot of interesting enquiries.

“Without a doubt we will be back at Sign & Digital next year, for us it’s the highlight of the shows. It really is an important event for us, the business we and our resellers do make it an ideal opportunity to get in front of our customers.”

Janice Fairfield, Fairfield Solutions:

“You can build a much better rapport with people at Sign & Digital, you build a fairly reasonable rapport with people over the telephone but when you actually see someone and you can understand their requirements better, you can ask them questions. At the show, they see something, they get inspired, one thing leads to another and the whole conversation expands then they suddenly realise that there are lots of ways that Fairfield and themselves can work in synergy together.

“We’ve had a real mixture of customers, from graphic designers, to sign companies, large format persons, and we’ve had large retailers on the stand.

“We will certainly be rebooking for next year, it is one of the main features in the year for us to meet the sign industry direct."

Julian Rowlandson,  Expand international:

“It is important to have face to face meetings at an exhibition like this because we’re a premiere brand in the market place, and it gives people a chance to compare directly our products with our competitors and see what the key differences are. Every year we find the quality of visitors here is amongst the best of all the shows we exhibit at, that’s why it’s a permanent fixture on our marketing and event calendar.

“Sign & Digital is always the busiest show and is always the one which we come away with the best leads, it really is our pay day for the year. The benefits of coming to a show like this are that we get to see our customers, our competitors, we also get to see what is new in the market place and it’s all in one place.

“I saw a lot of pre show marketing, loved this year’s ideas, the robot, the colours are very catching. We tend to use that ourselves in our pre show marketing so that all things are together.

“We have already rebooked for next year, we’ve actually taken more space next year.”

Sam Mooney, Eurostand Display:

“The show has been great, we’ve had a lot of footfall to the stand, a lot of interest in our new products, for us the show has been really good.

“The quality of visitors has been good, many of them coming onto the stand for genuine reasons. Face to face meetings are getting us in front of the customers, instead of driving half way round the country to see them they are coming to see us, so its been great.

“Because this is out first show we didn’t know what to expect, but it has gone beyond that, it has blown our expectations away. Without question we will rebook for next year.”

John de la Roche, Hybrid Services / Mimaki:

We’re in the fortunate position of having our April and May order books absolutely full. Our resellers had an excellent show and we’re working hard to fulfill the machine orders as quickly as we can.’’

John Clements, Boldscan:

"We were delighted once again with very good attendance numbers at this year’s Sign & Digital UK show, where we introduced several new products and handed out over 750 of our new Product Guides. The Show remains our flagship event for launching new products  and introducing our new product guide each year and has once again delivered for us as promised.’’

James Carpenter, Doro Tape UK:

“We have been coming to Sign & Digital UK, or Sign UK in its former life, for the best part of 20 years now. I have always found the show to be of paramount importance in serving as a shop window on the industry, a job that it does better than anything else out there. As usual the show has been very well organised, and we have seen fantastic levels of footfall to the stand.”

Ivaylo Vladimirov, Mouse PS:

“Having exhibited at Sign & Digital UK 2010 for the first time, we found it to be a fantastic show that provided a great many opportunities for making new business contacts. We have come here specifically to build our brand and reputation with sign making companies in the UK, and have taken considerable steps to achieving this aim.”

Dean Carpenter, Laserite:

“We had an excellent Sign show this year. For each of the three show days we had a steady stream of good quality enquiries, some of which have already resulted in sales of our Lotus laser systems. Bookings for our on-site demo vehicle are the highest that they have ever been.  We’ve already re-booked for 2011.”

Peter Geddes, Pro-Dec Products Ltd:

“Pro-Dec Products Ltd as a company was absolutely delighted with Sign & Digital UK 2010 because we achieved all of our goals. We had fantastic comments from companies coming on our stand who loved what they saw. A week after the show and orders are still coming in thick and fast. I have exhibited before but never had the response that I have had from Sign & Digital 2010. I spent literally all my time on the stand without a break because I was presenting to 1-6 companies at a time. We feel that Sign & Digital UK 2010 was money and time well worth investing in and picked up many new contacts.”

John Clements, Boldscan:

“Boldscan were delighted once again with very good attendance numbers at this years Sign & Digital UK show where we introduced several new products and handed out over 750 of our new Product Guides. The show remains our flagship event for launching new products and introducing our new product guide each year and has once again delivered for us as promised.”

Jim Nicol, The Magic Touch:

“We have been attending Sign & Digital UK for sixteen years now, and I stand by my previous opinion that this really is the only show in town.”

Samantha Armstrong, Applelec Sign Components:

“The Sign & Digital UK exhibition never ceases to amaze me; another year and another show where the quality and range of leads has been excellent.”
