Exhibiting at Sign & Digital UK for the third successive year, finishing equipment specialist Friedheim International will be demonstrating a Lasercomb ProDigi NEO multi-functional plotter on its stand. The NEO is the latest in a range of digital cutting machines specifically developed by Lasercomb for the high demands of the signage, packaging and display industries.
The ProDigi NEO range of multi-functional plotters features a number of different sizes for maximum flexibility. They are: 0813, 1613, 2113, 2517, 3117 and 3125, and these provide working formats of 800 x 1300 mm, 1600 x 1300 mm, 2100 x 1300 mm, 2500 x 1700 mm, 3100 x 1700 mm, and 3100 x 2500 mm respectively. A 1613 is the version being shown on Stand H50.
On the ProDigi NEO a new front end PC featuring a colour touch screen allows the operator to choose between automatic or manual modes, as well as accessing the tool database. The PC also provides operational diagnosis.
The ProDigi NEO features three tangentially controlled tool holders that are capable of handling up to seven different tools, and these can be quickly changed over as required. The alternative tools include cutting/creasing/ drawing units and a 3D milling unit.
With head movement speeds of up to 100 metres per minute and built-in bed conveyor, increased productivity is assured. The new NEO also includes divided vacuum sections with electronic adjustment, automatic digital compensation of table flatness, digitally controlled Z-axis, data transfer via network (RJ45), and full digital drive. In addition, the NEO is perfectly suitable for use in an office environment as no compressed air is required, and the table is therefore near silent in operation.
Mark Bristow, Managing Director of Friedheim International, says: “We are very pleased to be supporting the Sign & Digital event again this year as it is the perfect environment in which to show visitors to our stand what a versatile and highly cost-effective solution the Lasercomb ProDigi NEO multi-functional plotter can be for their business activities.”
Along with details of the rest of the Lasercomb range of system solutions, Friedheim will also be able to provide information on a wide variety of alternative practical, efficient and cost-beneficial finishing processes and solutions from other companies within its Converting Division – KAMA (die-cutters and folder gluers), Kohmann (window patchers, Pick & Place), VEGA (folding gluers) and Stock (wide format board mounting) – as well as from its other Divisions covering commercial print, digital print, binding and packaging.
